We seek a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and help us to build our infrastructure and to scale our product. We have a distributed system with ~40 micro-services facing exciting scaling and architectural challenges, offering you the opportunity to gain valuable insights and hands-on experience. You will work closely with our CTO and engineering teams and have a chance to design and plan new things together.

How does our infra look like?

• Cloudflare for many things (CDN, Bot detection, security)
• Running on AWS and using managed services (MongoDB Atlas, AWS ElasticCache for Valkey, and many others)
• Auto-scaling distributed system with ~40 micro-services
• Docker, Terraform, CircleCI
• DataDog for observability
• Most of our production back-end services are written in NodeJS + TypeScript but we also use Go
• We use a combination of MongoDB, DynamoDB, SingleStore and Redis in our storage layers

What will you do?

• Design, build and operate our highly-available infrastructure
• Constantly improve our systems from reliability, security and cost perspective
• Get your hands dirty with everything that might revolve around the tech stack of Recart: from TCPdump to writing a new object-based caching solution
• Participate in architecture discussions and decisions

What skills do you need?

• A solid understanding of the AWS ecosystem
• Experience with Kubernetes is a must
• Strong scripting skills
• Experience with distributed systems
• Strong knowledge of computer networks
• The ability to express yourself in English both in writing and speaking
