What's the story?

Recart is on the mission to become the best mobile messaging marketing app for ecommerce. The future is mobile and businesses will be available on channels where their customers are: on messaging apps like Messenger, Instagram DM, WhatsApp, SMS, RCS, and more.

We are a team of 30, split between Budapest, Hungary and New York City, USA. We deliver messages for all major ecommerce use cases - abandoned cart, receipts, shipping notifications, product recommendations, one-off promotions with almost 100% open, and 30%+ engagement rates. Thousands of Shopify stores use Recart actively and see an average 61x return on their investment.

All this would never be possible without a stellar team of engineers, designers, product managers, customer facing representatives, sales and marketing people, a team working under the hood to keep the company operating and so on. What does a recruiter mean for Recart?

Currently the top priority is hiring, in multiple domains. We'd like to scale the engineering team from 11 to around 20 in Budapest, while building a bigger US team for a better business presence is key to our success. It is an extremely high impact role as it has direct effect to our future potential and to the thing that we appreciate the most, our culture and values. Being a recruiter now at Recart is taking over one of the biggest responsibilities one could ask for at a high-growth SaaS startup.

What will you do?
  • source candidates on whatever platform you want
  • create and admin job posts
  • do screening calls and filter candidates, both professionally and culturally
  • guide a candidate through the entire interview process
  • hopefully send lots of offers
  • help the team to be better in interviewing
  • measure, change and adjust our recruitment process if you think it is needed
  • partner with hiring managers to adjust recruitment goals
  • be a representative of Recart's culture and values for candidates
  • manage our partnerships with recruitment agencies throughout the world (UK, USA, Hungary)
What skills and experience do you need?
  • a proven track record of recruiting software engineers (preferably SaaS) is a must
  • you are an outstanding communicator both in English and Hungarian
  • you are a great scout and your impressions about people rarely fail you
  • experience in end-to-end recruitment
  • you actually understand what a software engineer is doing on a daily basis
